Edward Deer first appeared on a plethora of taste-maker publications back in 2012 after the release of his debut album About Monsters. The dark and melodic mix of classical folk and indie pop turned plenty of heads, as did the album’s much talked about covers of Miike Snow’s Animal and Tom Waits’ Clap Hands.
Now that the dust has settled from his highly successful debut the confessional singer-songwriter has returned to the studio to begin recording his second album in the studio barn of one Wally De Backer. What’s more, Deer recently took part in Melodie Francaise, a compilation album of indie artists covering French songs with his version of Claude François’ Belles! Belles! Belles!
As Edward Deer returns to the spotlight he will be joining us at Music Feeds Studio for an exclusive live streamed performance using his signature looped strings and stirring vocals, this Thursday, 29th August.
