After two years in the studio and almost a decade collaborating with some of Australia’s best artists, Melbourne musician Jane Tyrrell has recently released her debut record Echoes In The Aviary, making it the perfect time for her to swing by Music Feeds Studio this Thursday for a session of Music Feeds LIVE.
The avant-pop vocalist released her debut Echoes In The Aviary onto the world in October and it has already garnered praise from fans and critics alike, in the process nabbing a spot on the coveted Australian Music Prize longlist.
Tyrrell embraces elements of indie and electronic sounds on the album, having co-written some tracks with PVT‘s Pike brothers, Richard and Laurence. “I want to collaborate with new people and make a sound that’s me,” Tyrrell told Music Feeds recently. “There’s something about the industrial element of their music and their production that really just, you know, presses all my buttons.”
The Echoes In The Aviary launch shows will take place in Sydney on Friday, 5th December and in Melbourne on Saturday, 6th December. She will later be supporting Icelandic singer-songwriter Asgeir at his Forum Theatre show in Melbourne on 9th January 2015.
