Music Feeds LIVE: Richie Sambora & Orianthi Streaming This Tuesday

Guitar ace Richie Sambora is in the country to headline Soundwave 2014, and in between gracing Sydney and Melbourne festival stages the former Bon Jovi axeman has kindly found the time to drop by Music Feeds Studio alongside Aussie singer-songwriter Orianthi for another installment of Music Feeds LIVE.

Both Sambora and Oranthi recently played a rousing Sidewave show at The Tivoli in Brisbane, with Sambora performing his epic catalogue of solo material, including latest record Aftermath Of The Lowdown and, as promised, some Bon Jovi classics.

“I mean, listen, man, I wrote that stuff. They’re my songs too, you know and I’ll make them my own in a different way,” Sambora told us last month for Music Feeds Podcast. He said that even after more than 30 years in the game, being a headliner at a major festival is still a surprise to him.

“I don’t consider myself a headliner, I don’t think like that. I never felt like as a musician ever that I was in competition with everybody,” he said. “As a musician, as a songwriter, as a record-maker, as an entertainer, you go out there, you put the band together, and you do the best you can.”

For fans who are missing out on Sambora’s Soundwave sets or for punters looking to relive the magic, tune in right here after 5:00pm AEDT Tuesday, 25th February when Sambora and Orianthi (who has played guitar for everyone from Michael Jackson to Alice Cooper) play a rousing set sure to be full of sweet jams and, if time permits, will sit down for a quick chat.

UPDATE: We’ll be seeing Richie and Orianthi at around 5:25pm AEDT!
