The shocking death of David Bowie at age 69 is still sinking in, and the legendary musician’s family, friends, fans and collaborators are sharing their condolences in droves.
Posting to Twitter, Bowie’s son Duncan Jones has shared a photo of him and his dad, along with the words, “Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all.”

Bowie, who had his first hit with Space Oddity in 1969, released his latest and final album, ★ (pronounced Blackstar), last Friday, on his 69th birthday.
Creative until the end despite suffering from cancer for 18 months, Bowie will be remembered as a true genius, who pushed boundaries with his music, his androgyny and his alter egos like Ziggy Stardust and the Thin White Duke.
