Soundwave 2015 act Ne Obliviscaris will release their new album Citadel on Friday, November 7th and to celebrate the Melbourne metal outfit have announced they will be taking it to their fans across the nation later that same month.
It’s been just over two years since the band released their debut album Portal Of I and during that time they have risen to become one of Australia’s biggest metal exports. They are also in the closing stages of a record breaking crowd funding campaign to finance a massive world tour for Citadel.
The band, who were the first band to be confirmed for the Soundwave 2015 lineup, have raised over $80,000 via Pozible. That’s more than 200% of their original target, setting a new Australian record for music related crowd funding. Ne Obliviscaris surpassed the previous record-holders Eskimo Joe who sourced $63,177 in funds for a studio album.
They’ll kick things off on Friday, 21st November at Melbourne’s 170 Russell before moving on to Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and then Perth. Joining them on the road will be Canadian progressive death metallers, Beyond Creation whose new album Earthborn Evolution will be released on October 26th. See tour details below.
