Doogie Howser has bagged himself a brand new TV show with his name on it, called Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris, and for one of his first tricks, he’s donned prosthetics and a goofy wig to pose as Jurgen, the newly installed host of The Voice Austria.
In a bid to learn some of the basic tricks of the trade, Jurgen sat down with the judging panel of the American reality TV talent show – Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly – to pick their industry-savvy brains.
And, just like an episode of How I Met Your Mother, cringe-worthy hilarity ensued, made even more awkward by the absence of a laugh track.
But that’s not all, after the oddball interview encounter left the judges perplexed – and in Adam Levine’s case – visibly pissed, Jurgen returned for a blind audition, singing a rousing rendition of the Dream Girls’ show tune made famous by honorary TV talent show graduate Jennifer Hudson, And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.
But the best part? Pharrell’s emotional roller coaster ride of unimpressed facial expressions.
