Such is the circle of life that just as one West Australian festival bites the dust for 2015, a new festival is announced. Beats In The Heat have put together a stellar Australian lineup for their inaugural event headed by hip-hop legend Illy.
Illy will be joined by fellow Aussie hip-hop champions Allday and Scribe, plus Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson while the festival will also shine a light on some of Australia’s freshest new talent like SAFIA and Paces. WA’s biggest producer Shockone will also be joining the festivities.
In addition to that, longtime festival favourites Regurgitator will be bringing their Cheap Imitations tour to the stage.
Beats In The Heat is the first major festival to be held in the rural town of Karratha and it is open to punters of every age.
In a statement on the event’s Facebook page, organisers have promised to “deliver an exciting array of sound, lighting and robotic aesthetics.”
“This festival aims to be different from the get go setting new standards for all-ages music events in WA.”
Beats In The Heat is a welcome inclusion in the dwindling WA festival scene as they have suffered a number of blows in the last few years.
