Nick Cave & Warren Ellis Announce Two Exclusive Victorian Shows At Hanging Rock

Victoria is really doing its best to make music fans from across the rest of Australia drool with envy.

First, it was Foo Fighters, and now, Australian music legends Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are giving the garden state some live love.

The duo have announced a pair of limited capacity dates at the iconic Hanging Rock in VIC’s Macedon Ranges, performing on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November. To make the things even more special, they’ll be supported at both events by none other than Courtney Barnett.

The shows are part of Victoria’s ALWAYS LIVE program, a new state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria, and will mark Cave & Ellis’s first Australian shows since the release of their AMP-nominated 2021 album, CARNAGE.

However, the rest of the country won’t quite be missing out.

The two Hanging Rock shows will reportedly kick off a full Australian tour in celebration of CARNAGE that will stretch into mid-December, with more details to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, in other news, the Nick Cave & Warren Ellis doco This Much I Know To Be True will hit cinemas worldwide on Wednesday 11th May, following its critically acclaimed world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.

Until then, you can check out all the details for Nick Cave & Warren Ellis’s Victorian shows below!
