Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have dropped ‘Holy Mountain’, the first track off their forthcoming third album ‘Who Built The Moon?’
Gallagher had previously announced the album and given us a small taste of the record by way of a teaser but now we have the proper, full length single.
It’s the first new song from Gallagher and the band since their 2015 record Chasing Yesterday and it marks a slight shift in sound to something more psychedelic.
This one features legendary British muso Paul Weller on keys and it’s a “joyous” track according to Gallagher himself.
“What’s more joyous than being in love, baby? So, I wrote a song about love and it’s one of the best things that I’ve ever done,” he said.
The track comes just a few days after Noel’s brother Liam dropped his debut solo album As You Were. Liam has already taken a shot at it calling Noel’s new direction, “Psychedelic music by a beige drip.”
The full record is out 24th November and it’s expected to be followed by a world tour.
