Northlane, Chvrches, Courtney Barnett & More Reveal Who They’re Voting For In The triple J Hottest 100

Twelve artists who will inevitably chart in the 2015 triple j Hottest 100 have cast their own votes in the 2015 triple j Hottest 100.

Chvrches, Courtney Barnett, The Rubens, Meg Mac, Seth Sentry, Northlane, The Wombats, Purity Ring, Alison Wonderland, Briggs, SAFIA and Foals guitarist Jimmy Smith have all shown us their tips, and there’s more than a few curveballs thrown into the mix.

For instance, did you know that Sydney riff crushers Northlane fancy the funk-pop stylings of The 1975’s Love Me, Matt Corby’s Monday and Drake’s Hotline Bling?

Alison Wonderland also had plenty of love for Drake, while The Wombats dug The Weeknd’s I Can’t Feel My Face and Purity Ring even lodged a vote for Justin Bieber.

The revelations follow triple j’s release of an epic AF James Bond-style action trailer for this year’s Hottest 100, featuring many of the above artists plus a veritable shitload more.

The j’s have also instituted a new ‘troll clause’ into their official voting guidelines for 2015 after they almost got Swifted last year.

Voting for this year’s Hottest 100 is open now at triple j HQ. Grab some inspiration by checking out the votes from a dirty dozen of triple j’s fave artists, below.
