American metalcore monsters Of Mice & Men, California’s Atreyu and Ohio’s The Devil Wears Prada are the latest bands to join the tsunami of Soundwave Festival Sidewaves crashing down upon us, with two headlining sideshows announced for Melbourne and Sydney.
The extra-curricular action will be going down on Monday, February 23rd at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel and Wednesday, February 25th at Sydney’s Factory Theatre.
Of Mice & Men’s Soundwave tour are essential viewing for fans of the band, who are known for their unpredictable live antics. “The one thing I know I absolutely nail, pretty much the only thing I absolutely nail, is our live shows,” frontman Austin Carlile tells Music Feeds.
“Our fans can come to our shows and know they’re going to have a good time. In our last tour with Linkin Park I’d leave stage dripping in sweat. You know, you go and you give it all out there.” One time, the singer went so hard, he fell off a drum riser and broke his ribs. “That was pretty embarrassing because I fell in front of like 2000 people,” Carlile admits. See, anything can happen?
Fans of the recently reformed Atreyu will be able to hear the band showcase some new material such as their latest single, So Others May Live. Vocalist Brandon Saller told Music Feeds time away has invigorated the band and they’re excited to bring their energetic live show to Australian fans. Ohio boys The Devil Wears Prada will be bringing their latest release 8:18 as well as favourites from their four other studio albums.
Of Mice & Men will be promoting their third studio album Restoring Force, which was released last year. The latest single from the disc, Identity Disorder, dropped in December. Check out the track, along with all the Sidewave details, below.
