They may have lost another member but it doesn’t seem as though Paramore are showing any signs of slowing down. Now operating as a duo for now, the band have given fans a sneak peak into their currently happenings with some snaps from the studio.
It would appear that remaining members Hayley Williams and Taylor York are tracking guitar and maybe even vocals on the release already, which is the follow up to their self-titled 2013 album. All up, this will equal album #4 for the band who really haven’t had much downtime since their 2004 debut. Williams confirmed that work officially began on the new album back in January.
Late last year the band announced what appeared to be an amicable split with long-term bassist Jeremy Davis. However soon after it was revealed the band were locked in a legal dispute with Davis regarding his status as a band member.
More members have now left the seminal pop-punk band than have populated it at anyone time. Earlier in the year, founding guitarist Josh Farro commented that he entertains the idea of returning to the fold but doubts he ever will. Which shouldn’t be too much of an issue, considering guitarist is one of the few spots on the line up currently occupied.
However as fans we choose to remain positive – Paramore just don’t have it in them to make a bad album…Even if it is as a duo.
