Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament has told Billboard that the band have written 25 songs for a new album to be recorded later this year.
“April will be the time where we get together and learn to play all these demos and figure out which 12-15 of them float to the top,”
The band have also been working on Cameron Crowde-directed documentary and a book celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band that they are eager to look forward to the future.
Eddie Vedder is currently on a solo tour over here in Australia and drummer Matt Cameron is about to record an album with Soundgarden. Jeff Ament is also set to release a solo album this year, so it looks like a very busy schedule in 2011 for the Pearl Jam Boys.
Pearl Jam are also planning a 20th anniversary festival tentatively scheduled for the Labor Day weekend.
