Wellington-based songwriter and producer Devin Abrams, who performs under the moniker Pacific Heights, is gearing up for the release of his new album The Stillness, and today Music Feeds is thrilled to be able to premiere its latest single Buried By The Burden.
The new single sees Abrams doing what he does best, creating beautifully intricate soundscapes which pair sparse percussion with, at times, eerie and moving vocals.
Talking to Music Feeds, Abrams says “Buried by the Burden was a completely impromptu and organic journey between myself and my good friend vocalist Louis Baker. The song has significant meaning to both of us, as we both put many personal elements and troubles into the story of the song.
“It was in itself a very healing and cathartic process making the song for myself, and led me to believe again that music itself is often the only remedy for pains that have no answer or definition.”
Listen to the premiere below and check out the talented producer’s other tracks over on his SoundCloud, ahead of the release of the new album later in the year.
