Protest The Hero Announce New Drummer

Canadian prog metal outfit Protest The Hero have announced the addition of new drummer Mike Ieradi to their line-up, following the departure of long-time member Moe Carlson. He will be relieving Lamb Of God‘s Chris Adler from his temporary duties recording with the band.

The group, who are set to drop their fourth album Volition next month, are “stoked” to have found a permanent member, with Ieradi known to the Protest boys through his main gig, The Kindred. He has no plans to leave them, either – Ieradi will be hitting the road with both bands simultaneously as The Kindred open for Protest The Hero on their upcoming tour. Impressive.

The band have been promising new material for quite some time now, previously tipping a March or April reveal for studio album number four. Volition, the follow-up to 2011’s Scurrilous, is locked in for release internationally on 1st November, and with any luck, the boys will head Down Under to give us a chance to hear the new material live.
