Pussy Riot Members, Nai Palm & More Join 2017 Dark Mofo Lineup

Tasmania’s fifth annual Dark Mofo festival is set to go down this June, and now festival organisers have unveiled their second round lineup announcement.

The lineup has expanded to include members of Russian feminist punk rockers Pussy Riot, Maria “Masha” Alyokhina and Alexandra “Sasha” Bogino, who’ll play a DJ set and take part in a Q&A; Hiatus Kaiyote frontwoman Nai Palm; British progressive grime act GAIKA; American dance artist LE1F and stacks more.

They’ll join the likes of A.B Original, German avant-garde pioneers Einstürzende Neubauten and the first act announced, Ulver, on the festival’s roster, which you can peep in full below.

The latest lineup announcement has also revealed that Hermann Nitsch will join the festival for a discussion about his work, as well as the announcement that Dark Mofo’s large-scale public art playground Dark Park will take place on Hobart’s docks.

Tickets for Dark Mofo 2017 are on sale now, and you can head here for the festival’s full artistic program.
