Queens Of The Stone Age’s New Album Won’t Be Out In March

Queens of the Stone Age’s new album will not be out next March despite some rumours that gave hope that the highly anticipated record was only a few months away. As reported by NME, a missive (posted below) apparently published by the band hinted at an Australian autumn release.

However, when NME contacted the QOTAS’s management, they confirmed that the image was a fake and that the currently untitled album is not expected in March, although it will come out sometime in 2013.

Excitement around QOTSA’s forthcoming LP has been building for months as more and more collaborators were announced. First there was the return of Dave Grohl, then the addition of Trent Reznor, followed by news that former QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri recorded vocals for the album.

About the only downer so far is that Dave Grohl said he will not be touring with QOTSA in support of the record. That and having to wait beyond March for what may be the current most-anticipated release for 2013.
