Rainbow Chan has taken to social media to slam the shit out of “two dickheads” who attended her headline performance in Perth only to throw vial and sexist taunts at the musician while she performed.
According to her recount, the aforementioned dickheads “yelled at me to get my tits out three times on stage with hand actions too.” Chan adds that the situation, “reminds us that we need to keep educating people, especially young men, that this behaviour is NOT OK.”
This all went down during Chan’s Spacings album launch at Jack Rabbit Slims, meaning that the bros most likely paid money to be there which is just remarkable.
The venue also took to socials about the incident and confirmed that they’re currently “reviewing all of our security footage in the hope of placing a lifetime ban on them.”
We couldn’t even get a week into the incredible #ItTakesOne campaign which features Courtney Barnett, The Jezabels, Camp Cope and more all rallying together to end this bullshit of sexual assault at gigs without an incident.
