Rebel Yell Drops New Single, Announces Second Album ‘Fall From Grace’

Grace Stephenson’s musical project Rebel Yell is back with a new single titled ‘Anti-Club Music’ and announced the forthcoming release of her second LP under the moniker.

The new record is titled Fall From Grace and its lead single, featuring R. T. FAX, is now available for your ears.

The tune is a hugely hooky number, previewing what’s to come with a tongue-in-cheek look at the shitty clubs and tech house bros that many a night out is filled by.

The album will be the follow up to Rebel Yell’s 2018 debut album Hired Muscle is being pitched as club music for the overthinker, with Rebell Yell keen to give a new voice to the binaries and conflicting feelings that everyone has within themselves.

Fall From Grace was born from a series of isolated songwriting sessions in the Blue Mountains of NSW, where Stephenson shacked up in 2019 after receiving a grant from Music NSW to fund her work.

“If nothing else, maybe jumping around to this record while you’re stuck inside will be more fun than trying to find a workout video on YouTube that isn’t so… perky,” she says.

“But beyond that, Fall from Grace serves two crucial purposes – as a shout of defiance against giving in to despair and complacency, and as a much-needed reminder that we will, one day, unite again.

The record was produced by Antonia Gauci and mastered by Phoebe Twigg (Ptwiggs).

The album is now available for pre-order, while there’s also some limited edition Rebel Yell merch also available.
