Sydney’s RedHook have dropped the entertaining visuals for their new single ‘Sentimental Surgery’, as well as revealing national tour dates for 2022!
With everyone in various phases of lockdown these days, RedHook decided to rally their fans around the globe together, using the video as an outlet to party.
Inviting their fans to take part in an emo dress up party from home, RedHook used the ‘Sentimental Surgery’ video as an opportunity to keep the good vibes and energies up.
Watch the ‘Sentimental Surgery’ video below.
“We were pretty hamstrung with what we could do for this music video, so we decided to invite our amazing community of fans to whip their phones out and get in on the fun.” vocalist Emmy Mack says.
“We hoped that, by embracing their sadboi/sadgirl roots, partying like it’s 2007 and celebrating how fun it once was be to be sad, it might help bring them some cheer and break up the monotony of lockdown. What we didn’t foresee was that watching all the fan footage back would actually bring us ridiculous amounts of joy at a time when we ourselves were really struggling.”
Along with their new music video, RedHook’s dished up a batch of national dates for January/February next year! The band is set to reconnect with fans right around the country on the ‘Bring Ya Mates’ tour; joining them will be The Dead Love and Down For Tomorrow.
Tickets for their upcoming dates can be grabbed at www.weareredhook.com. Giddy up.
