Run The Jewels’ El-P And Queens Of The Stone Age Have Endorsed An Album Mashing-Up The Two Acts

Some internet genius has grabbed the attention of both Queens Of The Stone Age and Run The Jewels‘ El-P with a mash-up album that melds the two acts together.

ToToM has taken El-P’s beats from his own solo work and Run The Jewels and put them under QOTSA’s Josh Homme’s vocals. The result is an impressively dark collection titled El-Q.

It almost doesn’t sound like a mash-up album it’s so perfect. So much so that we reckon Run The Jewels need to get Homme on a track stat.

It seems they both agree too with both acts reacting to the project on Twitter. “It’s kind of awesome. Thanks for this weird gift,” El-P tweeted to which QOTSA responded with a flame emoji.

While Homme has done a lot of production work in the past with acts like Arctic Monkeys and Lady Gaga, he’s never really ventured into the hip-hop world. This gives fans a taste of what he’d sound like if he did.
