As the country gears up for tomorrow’s sale of Splendour In The Grass 2014 tickets, one of the acts on the festival’s star-studded lineup has jumped the gun, revealing sideshow details ahead of their official announcement date.
Via her Instagram account, Splendour act Sky Ferreira has confirmed to followers that she’ll be playing two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne in addition to her set as a part of the Splendour In The Grass 2014 lineup.
The photo (below) is of the singer’s upcoming tour schedule that includes dates in Melbourne, Sydney, and Byron Bay among performances in Japan, the US and Spain. According to Project U, Ferreira also posted dates for her sideshows on Facebook’s BandsInTown app before deleting them.
Project U also alleges that Ferreira will play her Melbourne show at The Prince Bandroom on July 23rd and the Sydney one at The Metro on July 25th, though these dates all remain unconfirmed at this stage.
Ferreira was just in Australia for one very intimate show at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory. Music Feeds‘ Sam Murphy dubbed the 21-year-old a “budding cult hero” describing her onstage presence as “personable, committed and raw”.

Grouplove: We just saw these guys a couple months back at Big Day Out and they provided us with one of the highlights of the day. This California group have the cardio of MMA fighters and use it to create a stage show that is bouncy, colourful, and filled with wall-to-wall sing-alongs. Plus, Splendour was the first festival the band ever played, so we're hoping they'll do something special to mark their return. -

Their adorable 'Platoon' video amassed hundreds of thousands of views and their soulful tunes were stuck in the heads of thousands more. Since then, details have started to slip out, but the best thing about this secretive UK duo are their inescapable tunes. -
