Slipknot Eying Off A New LP In Early 2022

When Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor speaks the metal world predictably loses their shit – but when he’s talking about new Slipknot material we can excuse the hype.

Speaking on HardDrive Radio Taylor has done exactly that, revealing that although he still has four songs to complete he’s “stoked” about it.

“I’m redoing one that I wasn’t happy with”, he revealed – and says he’ll then “go back through and do punch-up on anything that I’m just not feeling.”

“The goal right now — and I don’t wanna talk out of turn — the goal is to get it ready for mix [in] January so we can get it out two or three months after,” he added.

The band is coming off the back of a rich vein of form, with their last LP ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ scoring no1 chart positions in both the US and the UK and was hailed by many as a return to form.

It’s a fact that is perhaps not lost on the band, with Taylor noting that “we were able to really kind of pull off something and I loved We Are Not Your Kind.”

We’ve already had one new Slipknot track this year in the form of the brilliant ‘The Chapeltown Rag.’ Stream below.
