Slipknot’s imminent Aussie arena tour with Lamb Of God just got hit with a shot of homegrown metalcore.
Byron Bay breakdown lords In Hearts Wake have just been announced as local support for all shows on the titanic metal double-act’s national trek this month, marking their first shows on home turf since their monster Equinox tour with UNFD labelmates Northlane, Hands Like Houses and Ocean Grove.
Though not exactly cut from the same cloth as The Knot or Lamb Of God, Vans Warped Tour alumni In Hearts Wake should provide adequate brutality to satisfy most metalheads’ appetites.
The tour will also mark some of the last remaining shows on IHW’s dual-album cycle for their monster Earthwalker (2014) and Skydancer (2015) albums (wonder if that means they’ve got some new tunes a-cooking?).
Slipknot’s first Aussie headlining tour since 2009 is due to kick off in Brisbane on 28th October before heading to Sydney and Melbourne.
