Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Slams Rick Rubin

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman, Corey Taylor, has ripped into the famous producer, Rick Ruben (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slayer, Audioslave, System Of A Down, Metallica). Watch the video below.

Taylor was fielding questions as part of Q and A sessions during his solo tour in Texas on November 18th when he was asked how it was working with Rick Rubin on Slipknot’s 2004 album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), Taylor said:

Let me give you the fucking truth of it. Rick Rubin showed up for 45 minutes a week. Yeah. Rick Rubin would then, during that 45 minutes, lay on a couch, have a mic brought in next to his face so he wouldn’t have to fucking move.

He went on to explain that he respects the work Rick Rubin has done in the past but that he is now a ‘thin, thin shadow of the Rick Rubin that he was’. Taylor thinks he is overrated and overpaid and states:

I will never work with him again as long as I fucking live.

Slipknot will be touring Australia in 2012, headlining the Soundwave Festival.
