Snoop Dogg Auctions Stuff Through Facebook

A new Facebook app, MarketPage, has been launched and allows users to sell stuff (similar to eBay, but through Facebook) through their accounts. And within a week of its launch, Snoop Dogg has jumped on board, encouraging his Facebook buddies and fans to purchase some of the stuff available.

The CEO of the company behind the Facebook app, Melvin Tercan, said that “We’ve quickly discovered that it doesn’t make sense to create a shop just for your friends. People seem to be coming together at pages that promote a certain artist, brand or community and attract a lot of fans. That’s the place where you want to sell. We’ve made it possible for all the 850 million Facebook users to create a true e-commerce community,”

Announcing his partnership with the start-up with a surprise performance at this year’s SXSW festival, Snoop Dogg has encouraged his fans to shop in the “Snooper market” so that they can “get all their Snoop swag on.”

Snoop is clearly expanding his horizons, dropping his fresh new mixtape titled ‘SOUNDCLOUD MIXX MARCH2K12,’ which is available below, and also uploading dozens of tracks to his Soundcloud.
