Soundwave Are Fixing Some Issues With Their 2015 Timetables

UPDATE: Final Soundwave Festival set times have been unveiled — check them out here!

As expected, the release of the draft Soundwave 2015 timetables were met with a mix of appreciation and critique and just days after they dropped, Soundwave organisers have already promised to address some of the most pressing issues upsetting fans, including possible swapping the day on which Antemasque are scheduled to play.

The cracks in the Soundwave draft set times began to show almost immediately, particularly in regards to Antemasque, when fans on Twitter began to point out that the band had been moved from the Faith No More day of the festival to the Slipknot day.

Fans who had bought tickets based on the originally advertised day splits were understandably upset by the change and after initially offering to swap their tickets, AJ Maddah later announced that Soundwave were “working on” a new Antemasque schedule and would likely “have to revert to advertised day as people have bought tickets based on that.” He said any changes will be announced on Tuesday, 13th January.

The mix up is particularly interesting as it was recently confirmed that Antemasque drummer Dave Elitch won’t be playing with his supergroup Killer Be Killed at the festival as they are playing on different days. On the current draft timetables, Killer Be Killed and Antemasque are billed for the same day.

Clashes Soundwave are trying to address include those between Slash and Judas Priest, Fall Out Boy and Smashing Pumpkins, plus The Wonder Years and Tonight Alive. See all the proposed changes below, and check the current set times here.

Antemasque

After offering to swap tickets for punters, Maddah has said they will probably be moved back to playing the Faith No More / Soundgarden day of the festival, as it was originally advertised.

Ministry/Soundgarden

Ministry’s set may be swapped with Dragonforce’s to resolve the clash with Soundgarden.

Slash/Judas Priest

Judas Priest’s headliner-length set currently clashes with Slash’s, and Soundwave are “working on” fixing that.

Fall Out Boy / Smashing Pumpkins

Many punters have expressed disappointment about the clash between these two acts, but whether it will be resolved is unclear. Maddah initially said he “tried” to fix it, then said he’s “trying” to fix it. Fingers crossed.

Gerard Way / Crown The Empire

Maddah’s looking at fixing this clash on Faith No More day. Crown The Empire is on at the same time as Gerard Way.

The Wonder Years / Tonight Alive

Set times for these two bands on Day 2 of the festival currently clash. Maddah says “I agree strongly” with the need to adjust this and assured it will be fixed.

New Found Glory

Maddah has also confirmed that New Found Glory’s scheduled 40 minute set needs to be amended to an hour-long set.

Mayhem

Mayhem were accidentally left off the set times entirely. This will be amended.

This Wild Life

Maddah says he’s looking at moving both this set,, which clashes with Tonight Alive and The Wonder Years on Slipknot day.
