‘Hometown Heroes’ is a name Spacey Jane is living up to when it comes to their dominance in Perth. The band have their biggest show to date in the city coming in October; a milestone for the indie four-piece.
The band will be performing a one-off headliner at the Red Hill Auditorium, with a capacity of 5,000 people. Bloody huge.
And what’s better, Spacey Jane will be able to enjoy the full scope of the venue, with Perth being one of the only cities able to return to 100% venue capacity in 2021.
The news is huge for Spacey Jane, who have spent much of 2021’s first half on the road on their Sunlight tour. The national run was a bit of a victory lap for the band, who released Sunlight (their debut album) to incredible acclaim in 2020.
The album (featuring the #2 song of 2020’s Hottest 100, ‘Booster Seat’), was voted triple j’s top album of the year and split the Best Album award with Tame Impala’s The Slow Rush at this year WAM Awards.
The band has recently put the finishing touches on their sophomore release, and will be heading out to New Zealand for their rescheduled tour dates now taking place in November.
Tickets for Spacey Jane’s Red Hill show are on sale from 8am AWST tomorrow (August 13th).
