Splendour In The Grass 2018 Tickets: How Locals Can Get Them Early

UPDATE: Splendour In The Grass 2018 Sells Out, Resale Details Announced

ORIGINAL STORY: With the 2018 Splendour In The Grass lineup just days away, details have emerged of how locals can be the first to get their hands on tickets.

While the festival’s much-hyped new roster will be unveiled this Wednesday morning, residents from in and around Byron Bay will be able to purchase tickets this upcoming weekend, before everyone else.

Local venue The Northern Hotel (35/43 Jonson Street, Byron Bay) will be hosting the locals sale between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, 15th April, before tickets are expected to go on sale to the public the following week, News Corp reports.

Residents who live within any of the postcodes between (and including) 2478 and 2484 will be able to buy tickets before they go on sale to everyone else, but they’ll need to show some ID with their home address and postcode to prove their local-ness.

Locals will be able to buy tickets for up to four people, and will need the name and birthday of each person they’re buying a ticket for. Sales will only be via Visa or Mastercard (no cash), and the tickets will be emailed to the buyer at a later date.

Locals are also being told not to queue up before 10am, as there isn’t a limited allocation of tickets for sale.

Splendour ticket prices will be announced later this week, when organisers announce this year’s Splendour lineup.

A Splendour members pre-sale is also expected to take place prior to tickets going on sale to the general public.

Splendour In The Grass is set to return to North Byron Parklands between 20th and 22nd July. Last year’s lineup was headlined by Queens Of The Stone Age, The xx and LCD Soundsystem, and you can read up on six acts we think just might play this year’s festival, below.
