Splendour In The Grass 2012 Line-up Rumours Heat Up – Black Keys, Jack White

Splendour in the Grass 2012 rumours have started to build up this week, with The Black Keys and Jack White tipped to be the headlining acts for this year’s event.

Triple M and Herald Sun reporter Nui Te Koha has pointed out this morning that a “line-up leak put online last night” has revealed that the Black Keys will be the headliners, although all the tips he’s made such as, Franz Ferdinand, Jack White and Bloc Party all appear similar to our leak, which we put up yesterday.

Bands included:

Bloc Party
Jack White
The Black Keys
Franz Ferdinand
Thurston Moore
Hilltop Hoods
M.I.A.
Regina Spektor
Ladyhawke
The Shins
The Temper Trap
The Dandy Warhols

Hot Chip
The Grates
Matt Corby
Grinspoon

The image is quite well researched, with most bands fitting the time slots and rumours, apart from Hot Chip who are booked for Camp Bestival.

But the best rumours we’ve seen so far are:

Bloc Party, after guitarist Russell Lissack gave a sneaky tweet to the Last Dinosaurs about “crossing paths soon”, and who are very likely to appear at the festival as well.

The Shins, with James Mercer telling The Vine that the band will be coming to Australia, with plans to appear at Splendour In The Grass under negotiation.

Sleigh Bells, who spoke to triple j saying that they plan to visit us twice this year. A Splendour appearance with a proper Australian tour in the summer?

Ting Tings, speaking to Radar Music who will also be here twice, and using the word ‘festivals’ to describe what their tour plans will be.

Lana Del Rey: she recently cancelled her Australia visit with plans to come back A.S.A.P. The tour was promoted by Splendour organisers.
