Splendour In The Grass 2013 Line-Up Announcement Coming Next Week!

The Splendour In The Grass 2013 line-up is going to be announced some time next week, according to triple j’s Lindsay McDougall.

The Doctor broke the news yesterday afternoon on air, while plugging a Jake Bugg tune, mentioning that the English singer-songwriter was featured on the Splendour promo clip. “Now, no words on who’s playing Splendour In The Grass,” he teased, “We’ll find that out next week.” So there you go – slip or not, the man’s in the know. Now we just have to find out WHEN next week the line-up is coming.

UPDATE:
Splendour have announced that their line-up announcement will be announced next Wednesday between 7am-9am (probably closer to 9am). Prepare your wellies and woolies, kids – July just got a hell of a lot closer!

One of the most highly anticipated Australian festival each year, Splendour always delivers an impressive bill. So far, acts confirmed for Splendour 2013 include The National, James Blake, Cold War Kids and Airbourne, each having a new album in 2013, while The Polyphonic Spree leaked their own attendance announced via Twitter some time ago.

Unfortunately Phoenix, who were heavily rumoured to appear, have confirmed they will not play at Splendour. Lead singer Thomas Mars told McDougall the band will tour Australia behind their new album Bankrupt! either late 2013 or early 2014. Previous tips now definitively off the list also include Foals and The Postal Service.

Hope remains for other big names such as The Cure, Bob Dylan, Alt-J, Frank Ocean and Big Boi who are all tipped to attend the Byron Bay festival. You can check out the full rundown on our extensive rumours page.
