Spotify Taps Gotye To Win Big At Grammys

Online music subscription service Spotify has gone to great lengths to predict the outcome of the upcoming 55th Grammy Awards and while their results may not be so surprising, it reveals a huge one-two for Aussie artists Gotye and Kimbra.

As announced on their blog, Spotify stated that “based on song and album streams on Spotify” the online music service has attempted “to predict which nominees would walk away with the coveted gilded gramophones”. The results show a familiar face walking away with at least two Grammys. If Spotify’s forecast is accurate, Australia’s own Gotye will win the Grammy for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for his unimaginably successful single Somebody That I Used to Know featuring Kimbra.

Other Grammy Award winners anticipated by Spotify are Mumford & Sons for Album Of The Year, Carly Rae Jepsen for Best Pop Solo Performance and The Lumineers for Best New Artist.

Could this be a repeat of the Warmest 100 debacle earlier this year? Only time will tell. For now, check out the full list of predictions below.
