St Kilda Festival has announced its first batch of artists ahead of its full program announcement in January.
The free Melbourne festival has unveiled the lineup for its New Music Stage, with 10 of the brightest new talenta around now locked in.
The bill includes Kiwi soul queen Wallace, dance duo Two Can and Melbourne voice Phia, with all of the acts playing the stage competing for a prize.
The crowd favourite will take home $5,000 and a spot on the main stage of the festival the following year. Voting will open the day of the festival and will close Friday, 17th February.
Past winners include Client Liaison and Stonefield, who have both gone on to become festival favourites nationwide.
The full St Kilda Festival 2017 lineup will be delivered in January, and it should be big if past lineups are anything to go by. This year’s festival saw Hayden James, Montaigne and The Grates play.
