Stella Donnelly Unveils New Single ‘Lunch’ Along With DIY Music Video

Ahead of her upcoming debut album, Beware of Dogs, Western Australian artist Stella Donnelly has released new single ‘Lunch’.

Just weeks after the release of ‘Old Man’, the first taste off of the upcoming album, Stella Donnelly has backed it up with an ode to being homesick on tour.

The new track displays that distinctive story telling quality that flows through all of Donnelly’s tracks.

Covering touring, missing home, and missing those that she’s left, she sings, “You’ve got plots and persuasions and time to explain, but I’ve only got time for lunch, and I get homesick before I go away”.

The accompanying video is a neat DIY array of clips from touring and hanging out with her pals and live band.

In a statement, Stella says, “This is my favourite song on the record.

“It was a massive team effort the night before I flew away on tour. A song that was only ever meant to be played on a single guitar and sung turned out to be the most intricate and textured piece of music I’ve ever produced.”

Beware of Dogs is out via Secretly Canadian on Friday 8th March.
