Stereosonic 2015 Will Be A One-Day Festival

After a brief experiment as a two day festival over the last few years, Stereosonic will return to its original single day format this year.

Organisers announced the change on their Facebook page, adding that dates for this year’s dance festival will be revealed shortly. Organisers confirmed the 2015 festival will make its usual rounds to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

“We loved the two day format but we are excited to go back to the format that worked so well for everyone for so many events,” they explained to fans disappointed about the change. “We are committed to bringing the best acts and value ticketing to the event. We are very excited for 2015.”

Last year’s festival featured acts like Disclosure, Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki – and his doppelgänger – as well as Peking Duk and their special guest Today show host Karl Stefanovic.

UPDATE 16/03/15 4.27pm: Organisers have now announced the Stereosonic 2015 festival dates, with the Melbourne and Adelaide legs of the festival to be held on the same day. Organisers also confirmed that ticket prices will start at under $130.00 in all cities.

They also addressed the format change, writing that the two day concept started as a special celebration of the festival’s fifth anniversary and was never meant to be permanent. Venues will be announced after Easter while line-up and ticketing details will be announced in July.
