Stonefield, King Gizzard And Fraser A. Gorman’s Gear Stolen

Melbourne musos Stonefield, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Fraser A. Gorman have had a bunch of equipment stolen, including a unique hand-painted guitar – check out the picture below to see if you recognise it.

Stonefield drummer and vocalist Amy Findlay and her partner, King Gizzard drummer Michael Cavanagh, returned home to find they’d been broken into on Friday, with the hand-painted Fender pinched, as well as Fraser A. Gorman’s Maton EM325 acoustic electric guitar and an Apple MacBook Pro with an external hard drive containing irreplaceable Pro Tool sessions. Unfortunately, Gorman’s guitar is not so recognisable, but the Fender, belonging to King Gizzard’s Stu Mackenzie, is one of a kind.

Stonefield released a statement via their Facebook page asking for information:

Hey everyone, just while we were on a high from the beginning of our album recording, Amy and her partner came home today to their new home which has been robbed. I’m sure some of you many know that gut wrenching feeling after having your belongings looked through and taken. This guitar was one of the things taken. Hand painted by a friend, it is very individual.

If you happen upon any of the stolen items in a pawn shop, the bands have requested you contact the police before saying anything, as it may trigger the shop to sell quickly for cash.
