Cult kid’s television show, Yo Gabba Gabba!, whose indie music pedigree also manages to draw in the adults, kicked off in Perth this weekend. Ahead of their Australian tour dates another slew of hot Super Music Friends have been locked as part of the Yo Gabba Gabba experience.
Local emcee Tkay Maidza will be getting DJ Lance Rock, the Yo Gabba Gabba! gang and their Adelaide audience stomping their feet with her bangin’ veggiesaurus-inspired dance romps.
Hobart’s young and old will see Michael Quattlebaum Jnr take the stage, performing singular rap stylings as his alter-ego Mykki Blanco.
Sydney based composer and musician, Marcus Whale will take on his hometown audience. He of Collarbones and Black Vanilla fame also performs under the guise of solo project Scissor Lock.
The rival Melbourne show will bring former Magic Dirt leading lady and local heroine, Adalita to to the stage alongside DJ Lance and friends.
Three local guests will be finishing up the adventures in Brisbane, playing over four days as part of the PowerKids Festival. Retro rock & roll four piece Little Odessa will be there, along with indie rock four-piece Shag Rock and Brisvegas indie wonders Cub Sport.
The Yo Gabba Gabba! live show features DJ Lance Rock, Brobee, the little green one, Foofa, the pink flower bubble, Muno, the red Cyclops, Toodee, the blue cat-dragon and of course, Plex, the yellow robot.
