Supergrass Announce 2025 Australian Tour

Supergrass have announced their reunion and a world tour for 2025, which will include the band’s official return to Australia next June after almost 17 years. The UK indie-rock veterans will play three east coast shows, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album I Should Coco – which they will be playing in its entirety. The tour dates and ticketing information can be found below.

The band last toured in October 2008, in support of their fifth album Diamond Hoo Ha. The band acrimoniously split up a year later, with lead vocalist Gaz Coombes pursuing a solo career – releasing four solo albums and touring Australia in both 2018 as a headliner and again in 2023 as support for Robbie Williams‘ stadium tour. Bassist Mick Quinn joined Swervedriver, while drummer Danny Goffey pursued a solo career that saw the the release of three studio albums.

Supergrass reunited in 2019, and were meant to tour Australia in May 2020 as part of that year’s Groovin The Moo festival. Shortly after the announcement, however, the festival – and all live music at the time – was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They played the final live set of their first reunion in 2022 at Taylor Hawkinsmemorial show at Wembley Stadium.

I Should Coco was originally released in May 1995. It topped the UK albums chart upon release, and was later certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. It features some of the band’s best-known songs, including ‘Caught By The Fuzz’, ‘Lenny’, ‘Mansize Rooster’ and their most popular song ‘Alright’ – which broke the band internationally after it was featured in Clueless. Coco was nominated for that year’s Mercury Prize, although it ultimately lost out to Portishead‘s Dummy.
