South By Southwest in Austin, Texas is set to be invaded by an armada of Australian acts, with almost 40 local bands and artists thus-far confirmed to perform at the 2013 showcase. Among the homegrown talent being shipped off are The Rubens, Seth Sentry, The Beards, Emma Louise and Flume.
As reported by Tone Deaf, also along for the ride is Australian hip-hop tycoon 360, who will be riding the success of his platinum Falling and Flying to America for his first ever string of US tour dates.
The Aussie BBQ is set to return to SXSW 2013, taking place from lunchtime (noon) to well past dinner before finishing up at 2am. An annual tradition for a decade, the SXSW Aussie BBQ takes place on March 16 and will see a bunch of Australian acts doing their thing on 6th Street at Maggie Mays.
