Sydney Punk Madmen FANGZ To Attempt Full Three-Date East Coast Tour In 24 Hours

Sydney/Eora-based punk disruptors FANGZ are back with yet another mosh-ready banger, laced with a hairbrained scheme.

Along with unleashing new single ‘Same Old Story’, a raucous slice of skate-punk about “living authentically and unapologetically following your dreams,” the foursome have announced a plan to attempt a full three-date East Coast headline tour, hitting stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, all in the space of 24 hours.

Kicking things off at Cherry Bar in Naarm/Melbourne at 1am on Saturday, 31st August, FANGZ will then leg it to a hometown show at Bootleggers in Eora/Sydney for 1pm the next arvo, before heading up the Pacific Highway to Greaser in Meanjin/Brisbane to hit the stage at 10.30pm and wrapping up before the clock strikes midnight.

“3 shows. 3 states. 24 hours. Yeah, it’s probably the wildest idea we’ve ever cooked up—blame it on a few too many late-night chats. But honestly, what could be more FANGZ than this?” the band shared in a statement on social media.

What’s more, all the shows will be free entry.

Produced by Tim Maxwell (LOSER) and mixed by Jonathan Gardner (Front End Loader, Grinspoon), FANGZ new sinle ‘Same Old Story’ is about “Recognising a chance for change or a new beginning, and overcoming the doubts and obstacles to go after what you truly want”.

FANGZ frontman Josh Cottreau adds: “If you’ve ever taken a leap of faith and embraced the unknown it will resonate with you”.

Take it for a spin up above.
