Sydonia Announce New Album ‘Reality Kicks’

Following the announcement that they’ve signed to Brisbane-based artist management group Pricewar Music, esteemed Melbourne prog-metal four-piece Sydonia have unveiled the details of their second album, Reality Kicks, which is slated for release Friday, 7th February 2014.

Some choice words from Lamb of God vocalist Randall Blythe: “Sydonia is a band that exemplifies the word ‘diverse’. The best of pop sensibilities is tempered at times with brutal angst. No Woman’s Land is a song that should be playing on every radio station in every city on this planet!”

Listening to 2006’s Given to Destroyers, it’s easy to see why this talented Melbourne outfit has garnered such praise from some of the best in the business, and now Reality Kicks, the long-awaited follow-up is here to make good on the much talked-about promise of their debut.

The album was recorded and engineered between Toyland Studios with Adam Calaitzis and Power Street Studio and Minona Studios by the band themselves, and was produced by Sydonia frontman Dana Roskvist, with extensive input from the rest of the band.

Having previously toured with the likes of Korn, Stone Sour, and Slipknot, the band’s live performances have been praised for their energy and the band’s technical ability. To celebrate the new LP, the band will be embarking on a national tour in 2014, which kicks off in May.
