Tame Impala’s Funkadelic Diana Ross Collab Is Finally Here

The wait is over Kevheads, Tame Impala’s hotly anticipated Diana Ross collab has finally arrived and it’s just as joyous we’d ever dreamed.

Dubbed ‘Turn Up The Sunshine’, the original track features on the soundtrack to the upcoming animated comedy, Minions: The Rise of Gru (the latest movie in the Despicable Me franchise) and was co-written by a legion of superstar songwriters including Tame’s Kevin Parker, Jack Antonoff, singer Sam Dew and Grammy-winning Swedish musician/producer Patrik Berger.

Described as a “joyous, dance-inducing” number, the collab is the lead single from the star-studded Minions soundtrack, which was also produced and curated by Antonoff.

In addition to Ross and Tame Impala, the likes of Brittany Howard, St. Vincent, Brockhampton, RZA, Thundercat, Kali Uchis and Weyes Blood all appear, covering songs by Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Nancy Sinatra, The Carpenters, Sly and the Family Stone and various other greats of the 1970s.
