Tash Sultana has returned with their first taste of new music since 2023’s Sugar EP. The multi-instrumentalist, engineer, producer, and entrepreneur’s deeply personal new single ‘Milk And Honey’ marks a big return to their roots as a looper, while seeing the artist reflect on lyrical themes of fulfilment and fame.
“’Milk and Honey’ is… a return to the beginning of why and how music made me feel in the first place when it was just ‘plug your shit in and jam’,” Tash explains in a press statement.

“It was less structured and less focused on delivering a ‘hit’ less pressure to be anything other than just the jam itself,” they continue. “I’ve seen a lot in my career as an artist and approaching a more mature side of it 10 years in. I’ve seen many fast lanes, been in many fast lanes, crashed the vehicle, rebuilt from the wreck, rehabbed my brain and it always lands me in the same place- back to the start.”
Rooted in a rock/reggae groove, ‘Milk And Honey’ was apparently written in the space of just one hour, with its raw, hypnotic ‘loop-design’ evoking the feel of a busker’s open-air jam.
“I hadn’t written a track that was looping based for a very long time,” Tash continues. “I steered away from it because I felt as though I’d been pigeon holed as only a “looper” and not so much of a musician/ composer/ producer .”
The artist will celebrate the release by making their return to the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre stage in Colarado USA for the third time on Friday, 20th June.
We’ll keep you posted if any local dates follow. For now, you can stream ‘Milk And Honey’ up above.
