The small crowd of Melbourne musicians known as The Cactus Channel have released the visual component of their latest single Wooden Boy (Part 3) and announced an extensive run of national tour dates in support of the track.
Featuring the animation stylings of renowned comic artist Ben Montero, Wooden Boy (Part 3) will have you on edge from the get-go as the creepy scenes begun to unfold. Set in an city populated by creepy crawlies and machines, Wooden Boy (Part 3) is minimal but daunting and overall thoroughly entertaining.
The track is set to become a fan-favourite off the band’s upcoming album, Wooden Boy, which will be released next Monday, 2nd September. Followers of The Cactus Channel already have a solid idea what to expect with the release following on from 2012’s critically acclaimed full-length debut Haptics. The swing, the horns, and the oomph have all made the jump between records for the cinematic instrumental funk outfit.
