The Splendour Weather Forecast Is In And Yep It’s Wet

Splendour In The Grass festivities are but hours away and anyone who’s gotten in early to set up camp before the fun starts will have noticed that things in Byron are pretty cold and wet at the moment. We’re talking kinda flooded. Hope you’ve packed those gumboots.

Photos captured by Music Feeds direct from Byron show the extent of the rain currently, with many areas flooded with water and mud lining the streets.

Weatherzone has predicted showers in Byron Bay for each day of the festival this weekend, with a 90 per cent chance of rain on Thursday and Friday. The odds look a little better on the weekend, with chances dropping to 50 per cent on Saturday and 30 percent on Sunday.

Temperatures across the festival days range from maximums of 21 degrees on the weekend and 14 degree overnight lows. Make sure you rug up guys, this one’s looking very Glasto-esque.

Those not making it to this year’s festival can glean some satisfaction from this forecast, adding to the 20 other emotions you’ll go through this weekend.

And remember, you can also stream full Splendour sets from Blur, Royal Blood, Jarryd James, Of Monsters and Men and Peking Duk from the comfort of your own warm bed, via Telstra’s Splendour In The Grass TV.
