The Used Guitarist Quinn Allman Is Taking A Long Break From The Band

Longtime guitarist for The Used Quinn Allman will be MIA in 2015, after deciding to take a temporary break from the band. The US post-hardcore heroes broke the news to fans sunny side up today, assuring them that the show would go on with good friend, Justin Shekoski of Saosin already stepping in to fill Allman’s empty guitar strap.

“We are saddened to announce that Quinn will be taking a temporary hiatus from the band for the next year,” the band posted on their Facebook page.

“Quinn is a vital part of the group and he wish him the best in his upcoming endeavors and look forward to the day he rejoins us on the road.

“We are thrilled, however, to share that Justin Shekoski of Saosin will be filling in for Quinn as we hit the road this year! Justin has been a close friend to all of us for many years and will help make this tour a memorable one!”

The Used last visited Australia in August of last year for a massive co-headline tour with Taking Back Sunday, after newly-minted Sydney resident and vocalist Bert McCracken made a bid for dual citizenship, and slammed the Australian political system.

Shekoski will join The Used for their recently announced headline tour of the US with Every Time I Die this April, but the group has yet to announce any Australian tour dates for 2015.
