Having given fans the heads up earlier this week, The Veronicas have officially announced their new album GOTHIC SUMMER. The album, the duo’s sixth studio record, will arrive in early 2024 via their new label Big Noise.
The duo – Lisa and Jess Origliasso – have today dropped the first single from the album, a classic pop-punk cut called ‘Perfect’ which features Blink-182’s Travis Barker on the kit. The duo describes the song as a “love letter to our younger and current selves”. Have a listen to ‘Perfect’ below.

“Perfection has a different meaning for everyone,” the duo said. “Social media has changed how we interact with the world. Perception versus reality is rewarded and condemned. From what people wear, to who they date. It’s like a magnifying glass. We just want to remind everyone to empower themselves, and free their minds.
“We all die in the end; we have to live with and love ourselves fiercely first and foremost. On our deathbeds the only opinion that will matter on how you’ve lived will be your own.”
The duo has been included on a few festival lineups recently, including family-friendly festival Hello Sunshine alongside Grinspoon and The Wiggles. This weekend the sisters will perform at Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival, which is being headlined by Blink-182, Green Day, and Good Charlotte.
