The White Stripes Are Reissuing ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ On Vinyl For Its 20th Bday

Fresh off their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 induction, The White Stripes are pulling another trick from their peppermint-striped top hat — a very juicy 20th anniversary vinyl reissue of their weird, wild and marimba-filled 2005 classic LP, Get Behind Me Satan.

Dropping Friday, 27th June via Jack White’s own Third Man Records (duh), the limited edition 2xLP will feature all 13 tracks from the OG album — including the clanging chaos of ‘Blue Orchid’, the piano pop of ‘My Doorbell’, and the groove-funk fever dream that is ‘The Denial Twist’. But here’s the kicker: this baby’s pressed on one red smoke and one clear-with-red-and-black-smoke vinyl — so even if you don’t own a turntable, it’ll still look smokin’ on your shelf.

The announcement comes after the duo dropped Get Behind Me Satan XX earlier this year, a souped-up vault-exclusive box set including demos, alternate takes, and a Blu-Ray of their 2005 tour across Central and South America.

Originally released in June 2005, Satan was the band’s fifth studio record and their penultimate before parting ways. It climbed to #3 on the Billboard 200 and went Gold, proving that Jack and Meg didn’t need guitars on every song to still make a fuzzed-out ruckus that slapped. They even did a 10th anniversary Record Store Day pressing back in 2015, but this new one is chef’s kiss for the vinyl vultures.
