Netflix has a new Notorious B.I.G. documentary on the way. Titled Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, the doco will air via the streaming platform on Monday, 1st March.
Though this won’t be the first doco made about Biggie Smalls’ life, this particular feature was co-executive produced by the rapper’s mother Violetta Wallace and Sean “Diddy” Combs, and will cover Biggie Smalls early life and his seemingly overnight rise to legendary stardom.
Diddy says it best in the trailer: “Biggie blew up over night. There are no origins for what rap planet this guy came from.”
In an official statement from Netflix, they’ve said that I Got a Story To Tell will “offer a fresh look at one of the greatest, most influential rappers of all time by those who knew him best. Made in collaboration with Biggie’s estate, ‘I Got A Story To Tell’ is an intimate rendering of a man whose rapid ascent and tragic end has been at the center of rap lore for more than twenty years.”
The feature will see appearances from Faith Evans, Lil Cease and others. It will also host a bunch of behind the scenes footage, with commentary from both his mother and Combs.
