This Weekend’s Rage Will Be Dedicated To Victorian Artists, ‘To Melbourne, With Love’

This weekend’s instalment of rage will be programming all Victorian artists. The special edition is called To Melbourne, With Love and it’s dedicated to Victorians in lockdown.

Sharing the news via Twitter, rage said, “We’re feeling for our mates in Melbourne, so we’re dedicating a show to the Victorian artists who have given us so much over the years.”

Dedicating programming to Victorian artists, they’ve given us a glimpse of what’s in store too. We’re set to see ‘Essendon 1986’ from East Brunswick Girls Choir and ‘Lost Season One’ from Camp Cope – two peak Melbourne bands.

Rage is giving us some classic Melbourne too though. We’ll be watching Archie Roach and Paul Kelly’s ‘Rally Around The Drum’ and Crowded House’s ‘Four Seasons In One Day’ too.

In a statement, rage said, “Now, we were going to wait until Melbourne Music Week this November to air this particular special, but we figured our Victorian comrades could use this episode now more than ever.

“So, get your Melburnian mates on video chat, remind them you care, and tune in to rage to watch music videos written about the wonderful Australian state, plus hours of songs written by bands who have at some point called Victoria home.”

Good call.

Watch Camp Cope’s ‘Lost Season One’ and Paul Kelly & The Coloured Girl’s ‘From St Kilda To Kings Cross’ below.

You can catch To Melbourne, With Love on ABC this Saturday, 22nd August at 11am or 11:50pm AEST.
